We believe in treating each individual not simply as a patient,
but as a member of our own family.

Philosophy

In the context of osteopathic tradition, the Zieger Health Care Corporation recognizes the importance of a comprehensive approach to health. We are committed to offering an array of high quality, health related services of social value that reflect upon the individual as a whole. Our holistic foundation emphasizes the inter-relatedness of human structure, function, thought, emotion and environment.

The public trust that has been bestowed on this organization is fostered and preserved by continuously improving and conducting all operations in an atmosphere of concern, respect for human dignity, legal and ethical responsibility, and prudent management of health care resources.

We will pursue our mission without regard to race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, impairment, age, sex or economical status.

Mission

The basic mission of the Zieger Health Care Corporation is to identify the health care needs of the communities it serves and to offer the care which addresses those needs, as a mutually supportive "corporate family." Components of this mission are detailed as follows:

Caring

Our most fundamental activity is the provision of personal, compassionate care. Such care includes the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle, preventative, emergency, acute episodic, rehabilitative, ambulatory, supportive and long-term care.

Community Involvement

A special sensitivity to the health care and social needs of the various communities served is requisite to future growth and progress. As a responsible community member we actively participate in identifying and addressing health-related problems.

Education

We are dedicated to the training of caring, osteopathic physicians and other health care personnel who will enhance their professions; achieve both professional and personal growth; and most importantly, improve the health status of the people they serve.

Research

Research by the osteopathic physician and other health care professionals is encouraged and supported.

Leadership

As a leader in contemporary health care delivery, we will seek to influence the development of health care policies on the local, state, and national levels that promote cost-effective, quality health care.

Within the osteopathic medical community, we will provide continued leadership in the development of collaborative approaches to change, preserving the unique benefits offered by osteopathic medical care.

In a framework of collegiality, collaboration and participation, we will create a working environment that nurtures responsiveness, hospitality, creativity, innovation, flexibility and decisiveness.
