Getting Ready for School

Every parent or guardian can ensure their child is adequately prepared for kindergarten or preschool by following these recommendations:

• The child should have a complete physical examination including vision screening and a hearing test. Also, a urinalysis and blood test for anemia should be performed.
• A dental examination needs to be dome every six to twelve months starting at age three.
• Several immunizations are required prior to entering school.
