Respite Care - Convenient Home Away from Home (cont'd)

"Respite care offers the best of all possible worlds," says Margaret Lightner, of Botsford Continuing Care Corporation in Farmington Hills. "Our Assisted Living Center offers a convenient mix of health-related services, beautiful, homelike accommodations with delicious menus, and, of course, plenty of upbeat, social interaction. Families tell me that our program here at Botsford is a real godsend."

When families realize that Grandma just doesn't feel up to attending the graduation celebration in a city half way across the country or that Dad, still recovering from hip surgery last winter, would like to pass on those two weeks at the cottage, respite care offers a happy alternative until everyone is ready to return to their routines.

Respite Care is available at the Botsford Assisted Living Facility on Botsford Commons' scenic, 33-acre campus. Designed in 1919 by the legendary Detroit architect Albert Kahn and reopened just last year, the building was completely renovated as a beautifully designed, barrier-free environment.
