Library and Internet Services

The resident will become familiar with all aspects of the Hospital Library and Internet Services. Botsford General Hospital's Library has thousands of print and electronic journal subscriptions, more than 3,500 print and electronic books and 1,000 audiovisual programs. The library can access the collection of more than 60 medical libraries in the metropolitan area plus thousands more nationwide. Computer search services are available on any medical topic with access to the Up-To-Date, MEDLINE system, evidence-based medicine databases, MDConsult and many other databases and resources on the Internet. The resident will be instructed in these search services. The Library Computer Lab is available to residents 24/7.
