DESCRIPTION OF TRAINING SITES:

Botsford General Hospital is a busy suburban acute care hospital which offers a broad experience in clinical as well as invasive and noninvasive cardiology. Botsford General Hospital will include noninvasive, invasive and clinical services. There are two clinical services. The first clinical service composed of patients on the general medical floor with cardiac diagnosis as well as management of the patients in the critical care complex which includes coronary care unit and intensive care unit as well as acute care unit. In addition to this a cardiology "inpatient" service will include patients in the outpatient short stay unit on the cardiac floor.

Clinical service will also include the management of the Chest Pain Center and chest pain diagnostic unit with outpatient evaluation of these patients as well as observation of stress testing and discharging these patients.

The cardiology trainee will also participate in the heart failure and cardiac transplant service with Dr. Kalil Masri. The trainee will see patients in the hospital in observation, in the office during that month's clinical rotation, or at the Cleveland Clinic for Heart Failure.
