The internal medicine track curriculum satisfies the basic requirements for residency training as set forth by the ACOI. Internal medicine track interns rotate through general internal medicine services as well as several subspecialty services in addition to satisfying the requirements of the intern as described by the AOA. During the 2nd and 3rd years, residents complete a rotation in all required medical subspecialties, with additional months in the critical care complex rotation and approximately 6 months set aside for elective rotations. A sample curriculum follows.
