OUTLINE FOR TRADITIONAL OB/GYN RESIDENCY PROGRAM

FIRST YEAR
  • Eight (8) Months: Labor and delivery, office prenatal and postnatal care, obstetrical radiology and ultrasound, infant resuscitation and surgical problems in obstetrics.
  • Three (3) Months: Outpatient surgery.
  • One (1) Month: Ultrasound. OB/GYN.
SECOND YEAR (Basic Science)
  • 1 day/every other week at MSU: Gyn pathology/cytology
  • One (1) Month: Genetics
  • Four (4) Months: Labor and Delivery
  • Six (6) Months: Gynecologic surgery and outpatient surgery
THIRD YEAR
  • Two (2) Months: Labor and Delivery
  • One (1) Month: Urogynecology
  • Six (6) Months: Gynecologic Surgery
  • Two (2) Months: Maternal Fetal Medicine
  • One (1) Month: Reproductive Endocraology
FOURTH YEAR
  • Half (1/2) Month: Medical/Legal Medicine
  • One(1) Month: Elective
  • Seven and a half (7 1/2) Months: Gynecologic Surgery
  • One (1) Month: Oncologic Surgery
  • Two (2) Months: Labor and Delivery
