Following
approval of the out rotation by the Program Director, the request
will be submitted to the Director of Medical Education for approval.
Out rotations should be at least two months long; in only rare instances
will out rotations be approved for a lesser period.
The residents
are expected to arrange out rotations themselves. It is suggested
that the residents choose out rotations to augment areas of their
training in which there is little exposure at Botsford General Hospital,
or to better prepare themselves for a particular facet of surgical
practice or fellowship in which they have become interested. Assistance
will be given to the residents in arranging their out rotations.
